This romper and hat were a staple in Jasmine's holiday wardrobe when she went on her first holiday. Made out of cotton they are both cool to wear and easy to sew.
The romper is nice and loose with elasticated leg hems making it easy to fit. It has a popper opening along the inside leg giving you easy access for nappy changing.
The straps fasten with buttons and have the option of keeping them slightly longer to allow for a second set of buttons for when they grow.
The hat is also made out of cotton, so you can make a matching ensemble! It has a nice wide brim that keeps the sun off their face. And if they don't like wearing hats then you can stitch a piece of elastic to the inside of the hat to stop them taking it off!
The Raspberry Romper is an advanced beginner level sewing pattern.
We recommend lightweight, natural woven fabrics such as cotton lawn and poplin.
Poppy & Jazz patterns are designed for babies between 0-3 and 24 months. See the chart for details on fabric requirements.
